MaxDecisions welcome Dora Cui from University of Texas at Dallas, as our newest A.I. & Machine Learning Intern.

Dora is a statistician by training. She earned a masters degree in Statistics at the University of Texas at Dallas. She has also earned a bachelors degree in Information and Computing Science from Northeast University of Forestry in China.

Dora has excellent knowledge in advance statistical modeling, machine learning and data science methods as well as hands on experience with Lenovo, China where she helped Lenovo to better understand service costs in their Asia-Pacific Services department.

At Lenovo, she built statistical models using SQL and R to increase Lenovo’s predictive accuracy by more than 5%.

Dora also co-published a paper on “Segmentation Algorithm of License Plate Characters based on Template Matching and Vertical Projection in 2015 with Journal of Qiqihar University.
